Blu Mar Ten will be at Nocturne tonight, and looks like I might make a visit.
Check the event details here, and the pics I took the last time they (he) was in town.

What a fucking weekend. Thanks again to Destiny and Embrace for bringing this yearly event back with a vengeance. The line-up this year was the best it’s ever been. This photo set includes pics of Zeds Dead, Rusko, Donald Glaude, Calvin Harris, Loadstar, Noisia, Andy C, Jack Beats, and bunch of ravers. Amazing talent, the main stage was unbelievable, and none of the no-shows mattered to me.
Special thanks to all the people I chilled with at the party tent! And also Krystal, Christie (Happy Birthday) and Janet for all the chocolates!

So unfortunately due to strict camera/media rules this is the best shot I could get at the show last night. It’s pretty fitting considering the way this guys career seems to be exploding due in part to that exact elusiveness with the media. Anyway, I’m pretty terrible at “reviews” so to speak. So I apologize. This highly anticipated show was exactly what I was expecting. Pretty awesome. Got to The Mod Club early to drop of my camera gear and there was a line-up already. Came back @ 8pm to find this –
The doors opened around 8:30 and the club was packed at 9:20. Drake showed up on the balcony around 9:30 causing a nice commotion including a few flashers. The Weeknd (a.k.a. Abel Tesfaye) and his three piece band took the stage at 10pm, and opened right away with High For This (featured in the Entourage final season trailers). The crowd went nuts immediately. I’ve seen less of a response for MGMT. The rest of the set was no different. I managed to snag a set list from the stage, and also managed to meet the man himself and get it signed. I’m thinking this is gonna be framed for the new place! Boh!
For a much more in-depth and well written review/article on the show visit The Grid TO where Jon Dekal manages to do a fine job.

Interesting evening of music. I love Feed Me, but I think I’m getting a little too old for the crazy rave parties with mosh pits and stage diving and shit. Danced it up for a bit, but ended up leaving 30 mins into Feed Me’s set. Hence the lack of quality stage pics.
Thanks to Embrace/Arcade for another quality event, can’t wait for WEMF!

As you can see I was too busy taking pics all night to really get a chance to appreciate how great this night was. I’ve been waiting for a solid Hospital Records member play at the Guv since Destiny started using the venue. Truth be told up, until the final hour, I almost didn’t make it. The music was so much more than I expected. One of the first few tunes was literally a favorite track of mine which put me in a great mood all night.
Thank you Destiny, TorontoJungle and whoever else was involved in making this happen!
ON THE PICS!

What an amazing night all round. T.E.E.D. actually blew me away. Music was the perfect way to start the night, and open up for Fakeblood, who also destroyed Mod Club.
I was expecting a bit more obnoxious electro, and was really pleasantly surprised by what he played. Really good bass heavy house minus the grinding chainsaw.
