A-Trak – Fools Gold Radio Show

Back after doing the radio show in February, A-trak seemingly forgets that he played the exact same opening track. Regardless, still worth checking out.

First it was Fionna & Rebecca and now it’s Posso (or maybe it was the other way round?). I’m open to any high fashion ladies dj’ing if you ask me. Especially when they come in 2′s!

POSSO (meaning v: “I can”) is an out-of-this world collaboration between best friends Marylouise Pels and Vanessa Giovacchini. Together, they bridge design, music, and art in an ever-evolving project that takes them all over the world.

With fashion designs on celebs like Rihanna and Katie Perry, I’m sure I’ll be seeing a lot more from them.

Besides looking like cover models, from what I gather, these two ladies made their way into Swedish pop culture stardom as a dj duo and have since released singles, played for kings, been in a self titled reality show, and released a full length album. It looks like 2012 is all about a tour with dates booked all over Europe until March. Let’s hope we get to see them this side of the planet soon!

Some great house and bass music on the full length album “I Love You Man”, which you can find on iTunes here.

This little track sounds like it should be on the “Drive” soundtrack. Pure bass’y disconess. 2 other tracks “Sleep Alone” and “Golden Gate” have the same vibe. The rest of the tracks are house oriented and still great, but I’m really feeling this kinda music lately.

It’s been over a week since I’ve posted anything, Literally been shooting something or doing something, or recovering from something every day this week. Came across some amazing music however. Gonna throw it all together in one post on this gloomy Sunday.

Started with finding this on my computer screen after someone had logged into their Hype M account on my computer. It’s old, but it started me on the search for some new bits. Diplo always seems to do it right when it comes to bass music. This touch isn’t anything special or ‘epic’, but it’s not brostep. Thank you Diplo!

Ellie Goulding lit it up last year with her track ‘Lights’, which got remixed by everyone and their mother including an amazing remix by Bassnectar. Also Blackmill is quickly becoming a favorite producer as I’m feeling almost every remix of his so far. Combine the two! Ellie Gouldings cover of Elton Johns timeless track “Your Song” with a retouch by Blackmill. Really loving this one.

Sonnymoon is new on the radar for me. Found this and fell in love with that deep sub bassline. “Yes” is a cover of a Beyonce tune that I’ve never heard before, but I have to say this cover is much better. Not even because I think Beyonce’s music usually sucks, but because this is just legit way better.

Purity Ring, again, new for me. Same kinda vibe as this Class Actress tune above and nothing brand new by any means. This EP was released in April, but I don’t care. Gorgeous vocal, very mellow for a Sunday. Hope you enjoy.

Got a wonderful e-mail from the people at Club Class this week. They sent us some info and an mpfree for our readers. Nice little 4/4 bit with some low end kicks and funky overtones. This one reminds me of a track that I can’t quite put my finger on.

Breakdown popped up on the radar last year when they remixed Derezzed by Daft Punk, and it got used in a remix trailer for Tron. I’ve been following them since, and they just sent over this belter of a mix for the summer time.
